Oliver S.

Oliver Salazar Vela III, born on August 21, 1972 earned his wings on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Proceeded in Heaven by his mother Juanita S. Vela, his Aunt Alma Salazar, and his grandfather Manuel Salazar. He is survived by his children; Christian Alexander Vela and Camryn Alexis Vela; Grandog, Roxie Vela; Grandmother, Josefina Salazar; Sister, Priscilla Aguillon (George Aguillon); Brother, Manuel Salazar (Victoria Salazar); Nieces and Nephew, Alyssa Aguillon, George Aguillon (Samantha Aguillon), and Mia Salazar; Great Nieces, Adalee Aguillon and Ezlyn Aguillon and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Oliver was the heart of our home and family. He was naturally funny, always looking out for others, and incredibly strong. We will miss his smile that would light up any room he walked into, his laugh that would cause anyone around him to laugh and his big personality that would make everyone around him feel welcome and safe. Oliver dedicated 27 years of his life in law enforcement from Dallas County, Bexar County, Windcrest Police Department and the United States Marshal Service. He believed in keeping his family and those who couldn't protect themselves safe through his life long service in law enforcement.
He was a loving, dedicated and hardworking person. Oliver's efforts were always focused on his children and family. Above all, he was deeply admired for being an exceptional son, brother, uncle, father and friend.
