Orfilia Morales entered into rest on January 6, 2021, at the age of 84. She was born on February 26, 1936 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Orfilia loved caring for people. She worked at Corpus Christi State School as a house parent for many years. She also worked in several nursing homes caring for the elderly. She also worked at Driscoll Children's Hospital as a nurse's aide in the NeoNate unit for 15 years, caring for newborn babies in the nursery. She also worked another 5 years as a NeoNate Ward Clerk before retiring. She and her husband moved to San Antonio in 1996 where she became a home health provider for her husband and mother until their passing. She remained in San Antonio and was a resident for a total of 25 years.

Orfilia enjoyed cooking, especially baking for her family and friends. She loved to paint small crafts and was a big fan of old western movies. She treasured beautiful memories with her family throughout her 84 years on Earth.

Orfilia was preceded in death by David Garcia, Ruben Lucio Morales Sr., Ruben G. Morales, Jr., and Daniel G. Morales. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and actions of her sons David Garcia and Arturo Garcia (Nina); daughters Mary Ann M. Olivarez (Roger) and Esperanza M. Mendoza (John); 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings Alfred Vasquez Esobar and Juan Barrientos; several nephews and nieces throughout the great State of Texas and precious fur baby whom she loved very much.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 3pm until 7:30 pm with a prayer service at 6pm. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 9am. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
