Oscar Fernandez Jr passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, in the arms of his loving wife Elba. He was 84 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on May 31, 1941.
Oscar served in the United States Air Force.  In 1971, he married the love of his life Elba M. Fernandez.  He graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in 1976 with a degree in computer literacy.  Oscar, for well over two decades, was a computer programmer for the federal government. Additionally, Oscar was a Professor of Computer Literacy at San Antonio College in the early 1990's. After his retirement, in the early 2000's, Oscar focused on his beloved family as well as his health. Oscar loved listening to his "oldies" music, singing, dancing, hot rods, and dressing impeccably. Most importantly, Oscar kept his faith in God to the end. Oscar will be tremendously missed by his loved ones.
Oscar is loved and will be missed by his sons, Oscar A. Fernandez, Oscar R. Fernandez, his daughter, Maribel Martinez, his sister, Gloria Feruzzi, as well as his grandchildren, Joshua, Jasmine, David, Mark, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Forever will his spirit live in our hearts and prayers.
