Oscar S
Villarreal
November 18, 1957 – April 17, 2025
Oscar S. Villarreal, a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother and uncle, was called home to be with the Lord on 04/17/2025. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Oscar S. Villarreal was a cherished member of our family and dedicated, loyal, caring soul who touched the lives of many. Over 35 years he was known in the community for being a selfless youth sports volunteer who often did more than was asked of him, helped when needed, and looked for new ways to make a positive impact in the lives of those he helped mentor. He was a part of Christ the King church having previously attended a retreat seeking spiritual growth and deepening his relationship with God.
Oscar S. Villarreal is survived by former spouse Norma Villarreal, children Oscar Villarreal Jr. (Alexandra Villarreal), Eric Villarreal, Jesus Villarreal, grandchildren, partner Rosa Elia Garcia, numerous other family members and preceded in death by father Jesus Villarreal, mother Paulita Villarreal, and siblings, Dolores, Rafael, Francis, Olga, Irene, Jesusita and Delma.
He worked as a Maintenance Mechanic with the San Antonio Zoo for 25 years and dedicated his life to volunteering in the community coaching youth sports even founding his own organization, the North Central Patriots. He was passionate about his love for family, especially his grandkids. He loved his family and often was trying to coordinate holiday get togethers with his siblings. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and San Antonio Spurs fan. He loved horses, playing pool, muscle cars, sports and being outdoors.
I will always remember dad for being perfectly imperfect.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory be a blessing
