Pablo D. Chacon, 73, husband to Genoveva Chacon, went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2023, at his residence in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on September 2, 1949, in Detroit Michigan to the late Francisca and Pablo Chacon.
Prior to his retirement, Pablo worked as a skilled carpenter and painter. He enjoyed trips to the casino with family and friends, cooking, and old western movies. Pablo loved the oldies music and especially loved to dance any chance he could. Those who knew Pablo realized quickly the most important relationship he had was with his family and the Lord. He cherished his time spent with those he loved making memories, especially with his wife Genoveva who shared 56 years of marriage together. Beloved, husband, father and grandfather who will be remembered forever by all those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Francisca and Pablo Chacon, he was also preceded in death by his son Pablo Chacon III; a daughter, Rosalie Chacon; grandchildren, Alexis Adda Chacon and Daniel Eugene Chacon; and a sister, Mary Espita.
Family members include his wife of 56 years, Genoveva Chacon; children, Lisa Valenzuela (Alfonso), Paul Chacon (Charlotte), Belinda Alejandro (Jesse), Bobby Chacon (Anna), Roland Chacon, and Michael Chacon (Valerie); 32 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; a sister, Delia Reyes (Pedro); in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, for visitation from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be conducted on Thursday, May 4, 2023, in St Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 10:00 am. A graveside service at Wild Flower Cemetery following the mass.
