German Ballesteros entered the presence of his Savior on March 9, 2021.

His 72 years on earth were full of life, love, and laughter.  He was a husband, father, grandfather, educator, and pastor.  He married the love of his life in 1973 and later had four children.  During his free time, he loved to watch Colombian soccer games and classical movies.  He loved to talk to his older grandchildren about school or work and put his younger grandchildren to sleep by scratching their back.  He loved to attend his children's and grandchildren's sports activities and was their loudest fan.  His favorite nickname for his grandchildren were Pancho for the boys and Pancha for the girls.  His children fondly remember report card days because he would to take them to McDonald's as a reward for good grades.  He was blessed to officiate each of his children's wedding ceremony.  He was there for every birth of his 13 grandchildren.  His family was his priority.  He would take a yearly trip to his beloved Colombia.  As much as we didn't want him to leave, we were excited when he arrived because he always had gifts for us.  We enjoyed listening to his stories about his visit.  We learned about our family in Colombia.   Not only did he visit his family, but he always held crusades sharing the gospel.  The stories of how God touched and healed so many people are a testimony of our powerful God.  He instilled in us the love of Jesus.  His tradition was to pray with his children in the car on their way to school.  That tradition continued when he would take his grandchildren to school.  He disliked the words "I can't" and instilled in us that quitters never win, and winners never quit.  He loved his wife with all his heart.  He respected her and honored her.  He supported her life's goals and dreams.  He loved his wife unconditionally.   He set an example to his sons on how to be a husband and father.  But most importantly, he set an example on how to live a life of faith; that living a life for Christ is the best decision you can make; and how with God all things are possible.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.  He will be loved and missed by his bride of 47 years, Gloria Ballesteros; his four beautiful children, Adrianna Rodriguez, Marisol Dominguez, Carlos Ballesteros, and Joseph Ballesteros; his 13 grandchildren; his five sisters and three brothers; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his beloved  congregation of Centro Cristiano Internacional.

He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.  His legacy continues.

Sus 72 años en la tierra estuvieron llenos de vida, amor y risas. Fue esposo, padre, abuelo, educador y pastor. Se casó con el amor de su vida en 1973 y luego tuvo cuatro hijos. Durante su tiempo libre, le encantaba ver partidos de fútbol colombiano y películas clásicas. Le encantaba hablar con sus nietos mayores sobre la escuela o el trabajo y hacer dormir a sus nietos más pequeños rascándoles la espalda. Le encantaba asistir a las actividades deportivas de sus hijos y nietos y era su fanático más ruidoso. Su nombre de cariño favorito para sus nietos era Pancho para los niños y Pancha para las niñas. Sus hijos recuerdan con cariño los días de calificaciones porque él los llevaría a McDonald's como recompensa por sus buenas calificaciones. Tuvo la bendición de oficiar la ceremonia de la boda de cada uno de sus hijos. Estuvo allí para cada nacimiento de sus 13 nietos. Su familia era su prioridad. Haría un viaje anual a su amada Colombia. Por mucho que no quisiéramos que se fuera, estábamos emocionados cuando llegó porque siempre tenía regalos para nosotros. Disfrutamos escuchando sus historias sobre su visita.  Aprendimos sobre nuestra familia en Colombia. No solo visitó a su familia, sino que siempre realizó cruzadas para compartir el Evangelio. Las historias de cómo Dios tocó y sanó a tanta gente es un testimonio de nuestro poderoso Dios. Nos inculcó el amor de Jesús. Su tradición era orar con sus hijos en el auto camino a la escuela. Esa tradición continuó cuando llevaba a sus nietos a la escuela. No le gustaban las palabras "no puedo" y nos inculcó que los que se rinden nunca ganan y los ganadores nunca se rinden. Amaba a su esposa con todo su corazón. La respetaba y la honraba. Apoyó las metas y los sueños de su vida. Amaba a su esposa incondicionalmente. Les dio un ejemplo a sus hijos sobre cómo ser esposo y padre. Pero lo más importante, fue un ejemplo de cómo vivir una vida de fe; que vivir una vida para Cristo es la mejor decisión que puedes tomar; y cómo para Dios todo es posible.

Le anteceden en la muerte sus padres, una hermana y tres hermanos. Será amado y extrañado por su esposa de 47 años, Gloria Ballesteros; sus cuatro hermosos hijos, Adrianna Rodríguez, Marisol Domínguez, Carlos Ballesteros y Joseph Ballesteros; sus 13 nietos; sus cinco hermanas y tres hermanos; muchos primos y sobrinos; y su querida congregación del Centro Cristiano Internacional.

Fue amado por muchos y lo extrañaremos mucho.  Su legado continua.
