Obituary

Patricia A. Estrada, 76, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 25, 1944, to Martin Alvarez and Aurelia Rodriguez Alvarez. She married Sesario R. Estrada Jr. on October 23, 1966.

Patricia lived life through the simplest of pleasures, from playing board games to planning family trips, yet the most important thing she gave her family was time. She gave years of love, leaving those around her to never have to search far. Much of her life was devoted to taking care of her family, and although no amount of time would ever be enough, it was never wasted.

She had many passions, two of the most notable being her love for novellas and weekly poker nights with her cousins-in-law. Patricia could spend hours playing Scrabble and Rook with her loved ones. Patricia always sang karaoke during Christmas and arranged family games such as bunco, taboo, and family feud. Some of the best memories can be recalled from the moments spent with family at Canyon Lake. Traveling, no matter how near or far, never failed to put a smile on her face. She was very proud of her family and home. It filled her with joy to spend time with her grandchildren, teaching them the games she loved.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband Sesario R. Estrada, Jr. and children Dominic Estrada, Christine S. Ruiz, and Richard A. Estrada, nine grandchildren D. Nicholas Estrada (Alicia), Christopher G. Ruiz (Deanna), Jon-Luke M. Estrada, Joshua A. Estrada, Juan Bocanegra, Danielle D. Moncivaiz, Deanna S. Estrada, Gabrielle Bocanegra, Nayeli C. Lopez, and seven great-grandchildren Raquel Rios, Breanna Rios, Cirildo Rios, Jr., Landon C. Ruiz, Rain Estrada, Athena R. Ruiz, and Eliora Estrada.

While Patricia may no longer be at our side, she will forever be in our hearts and in the lessons she has passed along. Beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
