Paula A.
Maciel
June 2, 1964 – August 16, 2023
Paula A. Maciel, wife of Peter A. Maciel, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, August 16, 2023, in San Antonio Texas, she was 59 years old. She was born on June 2, 1964, in San Antonio Texas, a daughter of the late Amparo Seguin (Joseph Seguin) and Paul Arguijo (Joann Arguijo).
She was known for her dedication to her family, loving heart, and generosity of spirit. Her life was an example of goodness and she was a joy to those who knew her. She loved shopping, usually buying for others before herself. Trips to the casino were for her; she enjoyed the chance of winning and was grateful for the experience and memories of doing something she enjoyed with family and friends.
As a daughter and sister, she was respectful and attentive, always caring for her family who were by her side since the beginning. As a wife, she was loving and loyal, always valuing the needs of her husband above her own. As a mother, she was the best any child could ask for, always present and actively involved. As a grandmother, she was playful and supportive, always going the extra mile to bring a smile to their faces. Her time with us seemed all to brief, those who knew her will remember her life in the hope and certainty that we will be reunited once again.
Family members include her husband of 39 years, Peter A. Maciel; two daughters, Stephanie Maciel (Cynthia Arzola) and Francesca Maciel; granddaughters, Chelsea Marie Ortiz and Chloe Lynn Deleon; siblings, Frances Hall, Connie Bidaliz, Johnny Bidaliz Jr, Joseph Seguin Jr (Hope), Paul Edward Arguijo (Anna), Leti Arguijo (Hope), John Arguijo (Callie), Sarah Arguijo, Christina Arguijo, and Dalia Aguilar; in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Castillo Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm for visitation and a prayer service will be conducted at 3:00 pm.
