"Pedro Wincar Garcia was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the blessed age of 79. He was born December 4, 1941 in San Antonio, TX to Wincar S. and Rosa D. Garcia.  Having just lost the love of his life, 10 weeks earlier, his wife of 58 years, Connie G Garcia, they are now together for eternity.  He is also reunited in heaven with his parents; and brother Daniel Garcia.  He is loved and will be greatly missed by his sons Arthur W. Garcia (Pamela), Patrick W. Garcia; daughters Wendy J. Garcia (Jerry), Deanna J. Benavidez (Eddie); granddaughters, Crystal J. Valdez (Luis), Nichole W. Martens; grandsons, Bryan A. Garcia, Jeffrey D. Martens, Christian W. Garcia; step-granddaughters, Brittani D. McKinnon (Mathew), Isabella M. Wolfe, Veronica R. Garcia and 1 great granddaughter Ashlynn N. Spengler; 2 sisters Rosalee Urrabazo and Anita Sheppard; and a brother Richard Garcia (Lorraine) as well as extended loving relatives and friends.

He was born and raised in San Antonio , TX.  He enlisted in the United States Army in March 1960; he served active duty, then released to Army Reserve.  On January 24, 1962 he married the love of his life and on the same day enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.  Soon after  enlisting, he left for Camp Pendleton, California for boot camp. He served in Vietnam and was awarded a Bronze star. After his active duty enlistment, he served in the Texas Army National Guard as a reservist, until he retired in December 2001. Prior to retiring in 2001, he was activated to active duty status and served in Operation Desert Storm/Shield and served as a border patrol in Texas.

He held many jobs throughout his years, all the while serving in the Texas Army National Guard.  His last job before retiring was at Kelley Air Force base in San Antonio, TX until the base was closed, then he was transferred to Tinker Air Force base in Oklahoma City, OK until he retired from civil service. After he officially retired from the US Armed Forces and Civil Service he drove a school bus for South San ISD and driving for the City of San Antonio.

He enjoyed playing poker and taking trips to Kickapoo but his greatest pleasure was fishing. He worked hard his entire life, providing for his family and now he is fishing the high seas with the greatest catch of his life. He will be forever in our hearts and in our dreams.  We know he went to heaven with his love and the lord.
