Obituary

Pedro C. (Pete) Gonzales born on February 10, 1955 in Raymondville, TX. and was called home to be with our Lord on January 11,2025.
Pete was a patriot who served his country well.  He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp (1973-1977) and later he was commissioned Admiral in the Texas Navy (civil defense) (1995).  Public service remained his career's ambition till he retired after 31 years.  He served as a DHS Federal Agent, starting rank at GS-5 with subsequent promotions up to a commendable GS-12.  His service experience gave him the opportunity to travel, from South America, The Caribbean, Korea, India, Europe and South Africa just to name a few far away places.

Pete had many hobbies and interests. He was part of A.F. & A. M. Freemason fraternity.  He loved to participate in recreational sports, like baseball and bowling leagues, especially if it was for a good cause. After retirement his pastime was golf and according to him he was good at it. He was a fan of all professional sports especially his San Antonio Spurs and Las Vegas Raiders.

Pete never met a stranger, meaning he made you feel an instant connection the first time meeting him. He has many, many friends who will remember him as a great conversation, interesting personality and warm company, whenever and wherever you met him (friendly hangouts). He is portrayed as such that he worked hard and played harder. Pete LIVED his life to the fullest, simply said, "you only live once".

He is survived by his children: Christopher Lee Gonzales, Jonathan Lee Gonzales, Gabriella A. Gonzales and he is preceded in death by his father, Pedro Gonzales and his mother Elida Sauceda.
