Petra Arguello Martinez of Atascosa, TX passed away with her family by her side on July 26, 2022 at the age of 83. She was born February 28, 1939 in Lytle, TX to Domingo and Basillia Arguello. She was 1 of 10 children.

On April 2, 1956 she married Gilbert Martinez. Together they had 5 children Sarah Martinez (Jose Fidel), Gladys Cordova (Joe), Dominga Martinez, Gilbert Martinez II (Rachael), and Basilia Martinez Velasquez (Daniel).

Petra will be dearly missed by her sister Anita Arguello Muniz, 15 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Domingo and Basilia Arguello, her husband Gilbert Martinez, daughter Dominga Martinez and grandson Steven Cordova.

Visitation and Rosary will be held on August 3, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 108 S Washington Dr. Devine TX 78016 from 9:30-10:45 am.

Mass will be held from 11:00-12:00pm. Petra will be escorted by her home of 60 years and her final resting place will be at Panteon San Lorenzo FM-2790 & Luckey Rd Lytle TX 78052.

Flowers must be delivered to the funeral home by Tuesday August 2, 2022, for funeral services.
