Petra 'Patsy' Hinojosa, 91, widow of Yndalecio L. Hinojosa, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 19, 1932, in Hondo, Texas, a daughter of the late Encarnacion and Otila Trevino.

Patsy led a remarkable life filled with her passions and accomplishments. She touched the lives of many through her philanthropy, community involvement and contributions. Patsy was an active participant with De Colores, Saint Francis of Assisi and the Faith Community.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Holy Cross High School and the San Fernando Cathedral. Her proudest accomplishment was the family unit she built to be remarkably strong. Her generosity was boundless, and she would help anyone with her encouragement, support and guidance.

We will forever cherish the memories of Patsy's remarkable life and the impact she made on all who knew her.

In addition to her husband of 59 years Yndalecio L. Hinojosa, and her parents Encarnacion and Otila Trevino, she is also preceded in death by daughter, Theresa Ann Pena; granddaughter, Patricia Montalvo; brothers, Matilde, Gregorio and Encarnacion Jr; sisters, Hortensia Dominguez, Alice Dominguez and Josefina Trevino.

Family members include her children, Phillip (Melva), Linda (Stephen) Holt, Carlos (Patricia), Rocky (Isabel), Indy (Jacqueline), Maria "Rosie" (Robert) Wechsler; 26 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Arcos, Sulema Trevino and Roque Trevino (Janie); in addition to numerous extended family members.

The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.

A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 10:00 am in St. Gabriel Catholic Church (747 SW 39th St, San Antonio, Texas 78237). The burial will follow with a graveside service held at Oakwood Cemetery (CR 443, Hondo, Texas 78861)
