Petra L. Martinez, age 95, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where she built a life rooted in faith, family, and love.

Petra was the devoted wife of her beloved husband, Pablo Martinez, whom she now joins in eternal rest. She was a proud and loving mother to six children: Pablo Martinez Jr., Randy Martinez, Jesse Martinez (who preceded her in death), Carlota de la Rosa, Mary Jane Torres, and Sandra Lopez.

She was a cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren, a great-grandmother to 6 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandmother to one great-great-grandchild.

Petra was known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family. A caring and devoted mother and grandmother, she found joy in cooking, shopping, and spending time surrounded by those she loved most. One of her most treasured traditions was singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus every Christmas Day, a reflection of her deep faith and joyful spirit.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and family devotion that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
