It is with sadness and joy that we can come together to celebrate the life of Porfirio M. Amador, at the age 89, of Seguin, Texas who went with the Lord and entered eternal rest on Friday January 26,2024.

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great - great grandfather. Porfirio was born to Pedro Amador Sr. and Candelaria Martinez Amador on June 19, 1934, in Seguin, Tx.

He is survived by his brother Antonio Gutierrez and his four children Johnny Amador (Marisol), Laura Marie Amador Rodriguez, Laura Ann Amador (Hector), and Yolanda Amador Doucet (Kevin). His 8 grandchildren Christy M. Rodriguez, Christopher R. Amador, Crystal D. Rodriguez, Matthew J. Amador, Rolando R. Rodriguez Jr., Jeremy D. Rodriguez, Joseph A. Amador, Marissa Amador and 25 great – great grandchildren.

Porfirio was well known for his mechanic skills creating his own business known as AMADOR'S GARAGE in Seguin, Tx. for 39yrs. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator worker for three of San Antonio Army Air Force Base (Lakeland AFB., Randolph AFB., and Brooks AFB.) for 15years.

Porfirio is loved and will be missed by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great – great grandchildren, brother and numerous of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Porfirio is proceeded in death by his parents Pedro Amador Sr. and Candelaria Martinez Amador, brothers and sisters Maria De Jesus Gonzalez, Trinidad Sepulveda, Basilisa Hall, Maria Reyes, Benito Amador Sr., Pedro Amador Jr., Tomasa Avila, and Susana Castillo.

Visitation will be at Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm. with the rosary at 6pm.

Funeral Services will begin at 9am on Tuesday February 13, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home followed by a procession to Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery for interment.
