Ramiro Ovalle Cruz passed away peacefully at the age of 82, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family on January 14, 2024. He was born on May 9, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas. Spider, as he was known to his childhood friends, grew up on the Westside of San Antonio. He went on to marry his wife, Rita, on March 11, 1978. He also worked at the Nix Hospital as a Driver/Supervisor for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita; son, Ramiro Cruz Jr, daughter, Deborah Cruz, step daughter, Maria Valle, as well as well as 13 grand children and 2 great grandchildren. Ramiro was a big sports fan always rooted for the Pride of the Westside, Lanier; the Dallas Cowboys, the Spurs, Longhorns, and the Roadrunners. To know him was to love him. He will truly be missed.
