Ramon Lopez Guajardo passed away peacefully in his home on June 21, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was 85 years old.
He was born in Brownsville, Texas on September 23, 1934. Ramon enlisted in the Army in 1951 and proudly served as a member of the 82nd Airborne until 1954. In December of 1956, he married the love of his life, Celia Garza. They moved to San Antonio, Texas where he worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service until retirement. He enjoyed ranching and loved travelling and fishing. With his loving wife by his side, they explored places from Canada to Mexico and everywhere in between.
Ramon is loved and will be missed by his wife, Celia Guajardo; daughters, Leticia Martinez (spouse, Henry), Yvonne Charles (spouse, Michael) and Yolanda Guajardo; his son, Ramon Guajardo, Jr. (spouse, Frances); grandchildren, Ramon Guajardo, III (spouse, Charlene), Eric Martinez, Jesse Guajardo, Alicia Martinez, Adrian Guitron and Vanessa Misty Michaud (spouse, Ian); and great granddaughter, Zephyrine Michaud; his siblings Pete Guajardo (spouse, Rosie), Eloy Guajardo (spouse, Janet) and Alfonso Guajardo (spouse, Cora Lee). Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Pilar Guajardo and his siblings, Luis Guajardo, Charlie Guajardo and Pilar Garza.
