Ramon V. Lopez, born in San Antonio on October 30, 1935, was called home to be with our Lord on July 22, 2023, at the age of 87.  Ramon is reunited in Heaven with his parents, Antonio Lopez and Christina V. Lopez; siblings, Alfredo Lopez and Mary Ann Peña.  Ramon was one of five children. Ramon is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Guadalupe T. Lopez.

Ramon and Guadalupe met as teenagers. They later married at St. Agnes Catholic church on April 18, 1954. One year later they started their family of 4 children. Son Ramon Jr (Elsa), Son Robert (JoAnn), daughter, Guadalupe, Daughter Lydia (Mark). Ramon and Guadalupe have 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren as well as other loving relatives and friends

Throughout his life he had many hobbies. Ramon enjoyed  barbequing with family, painting, watching the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, professional wrestling, and fishing.  Playing Dominoes and Aggravation with family brought him immense joy.  He was a great story teller and often talked about his days growing up. Ramon had a wonderful sense of humor and always made his family laugh when they were together.  He was a gifted carpenter and left many mementos for his family to cherish. He will always be remembered by his family for his strong hardworking character.

Ramon received his GED from St. Philips College. He established his career as a Night foreman at Mrs. Bohnet (Sunbeam); then Mrs. Baird's bakery for 20 years, delivering cabinets and later became Head Custodian at Edgewood ISD where he retired. He was a member of the  Knights of Columbus to the 4th degree. Most of all he loved being visited by his children and grandchildren.

Family and God were very important to Ramon, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

In his final days he was surrounded by his family daily. He was loved by his family and many friends and will forever be in our hearts.
