Ramon Gres Sr. passed away at his home peacefully surrounded by his family June 8, 2025, He was 93 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 11, 1932.

Ramon was the first of 7 children born to immigrant parents with little resources. Ramon was a devoted family man and did everything he could to support his mother, brothers, and sisters.  He met his wife at 21, and they were married for 72 years, raising 10 children and had numerous grandchildren.

Ramon was a hard-working man who supported his family through various jobs. He would follow harvests picking crops from Texas to Michigan. He also built things in his home and fixed everything. Ramon's dedication to family and hard work allowed him to ensure his children received a better education than he did.

Ramon is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita R. Gres; sons Raul Gres, Reynaldo Gres, Ruben Gres, and Quintin Gres.

Ramon will be missed by surviving sons, Ramon Gres Jr., Gabriel Gres, Roberto Gres, and Fabian Gres; daughters, Alma Giacomino and Christina Sepulveda; and numerous grandchildren.
