Ramona (Mona) Flores Curiel passed away peacefully at home on June 16 at the age of 96 years old. She was born in Brady, Texas to Procopio and Martiniana Cortez.

Ramona was a devoted Catholic and attended Holy Rosary and St Ann's until she was not able to get around.  She then faithfully watched La Misa on tv. She prayed faithfully and kept everyone in her prayers.  She was a strong, gentle, patient, and sacrificing model for her family. She bore her hardships with such strength and commitment to her faith.  She enjoyed gardening and baking. On Christmas she made home-made tamales and an abundant variety of cookies.

Ramona is preceded in death by her husband Saul Flores; daughter; Dolores Flores; brothers, Moises Cortez and Roman Cortez; sisters, Maria Ignacia Cortez; Anastasia Sauceda; Fransisca Quiroz; Crescencia Sauceda; and Otila Kypuros

Ramona is loved and will be missed by her sons Robert Flores, Raul Flores (Elvia), Roland Flores (Elda)
daughter  Angelita Perez (Paul); grandsons, Adrian Romo; Paul (PJ) Perez; Jacob Perez; and Saul Flores;  numerous nieces and nephews and friends.  We will treasure our memories.
