Ramona Casarez Herrera, 92, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in her home surrounded by loving family. She was born on January 7, 1929 in Paducah, Texas, to Augustine and Cruz Casarez.

Ramona was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. To all that knew her, she was unique in every way and lived her life to the fullest. Ramona never accepted the word no; she was our rock and is loved by so many. She loved spending time with her family and was always ready to do anything.

Ramona is preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Cruz Casarez, her husband Raymundo R. Herrera, a son, Henry C. Herrera, and her sister, Dora C. Barron.

Ramona is survived by her children: Raymond C. Herrera, Jr., Sandra C. Herrera, and Yvonne C. Herrera; her Grand- Son, Raymond Henry Herrera (Sandra), and many other grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services to be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. A visitation will take place on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 3:30pm – 7:30pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. On Monday, June 7, 2021 a Chapel Service will be held at 9:00am in the Castillo Mission funeral Home chapel. Departure will take place after the chapel service.  In procession we will pass by the residence before proceeding to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery for a Graveside Service at 10:30am.
