Born on January 22, 1942, in San Antonio Texas, to the late Fred and Aurora (Campos) Capelo. She grew up in a substantially loving family where she had fourteen brothers and sisters. Ramona is reunited in heaven with her late husband, Clemente Mata Sr, who committed forty-two years of marriage together before his passing. She cherished her most precious gifts from the lord, her seven children, David, Lawrence, Aurora, Clemente, Susan, Alfred, and Hope.

Ramona accomplished much during her lifetime and will be remembered forever. She worked hard to provide for the ones she loved dedicating 20 years at Tex Ace and another 18 with Allen Tharp. She could usually be found at the stores where she loved to shop for herself and others. Ramona was always nicely dressed and well put together anywhere she went. Her passion for looking your best carried over into homes where she found immense satisfaction in interior decorating.

She ultimately enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; great conversation, making someone smile, feeling hopeful for the future and those she knew. She was the happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and siblings where she celebrated so many special occasions and accomplishments of those around her. Those times exists now in our memories will be cherished forever.
