Raul S. Alvarado Jr, age 55, was unexpectedly called to the lord on November 23, 2023, Thanksgiving Day. He was surrounded by the love and warmth of his family and friends.

Raul is survived by his wife; Gracie Alvarado, only child and daughter; Samantha D. Rodriguez and husband Kristin Rodriguez, brother; Earl Longoria and wife Minerva C. Longoria, niece; Crystal Dalros and husband Steven Dalros, children; Frederick & Addison Dalros, nephew; Rudy Falcon Sr, children; Rudy Falcon Jr & Aiden Falcon, nephew; Frankie Falcon and children. Along with multiple nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Raul was born January 25, 1968 in San Antonio, Texas to Raul M. Alvarado Sr and Guadalupe S. Alvarado, whom are both deceased. Raul met his childhood sweetheart and wife of 43 years at Cooper Middle School at the age of 12. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School, Class of 1986. He played football as a left guard defense tackle and center. His love for the sport and loyalty for the Washington Redskins shined through many pictures and memories throughout the years. His memory will forever be in our hearts.

Raul was known to be a strong, loving, funny, prideful, and supportive person. Not only with his friends, but especially with his family. For many years, he devoted his time to his daughters' karate career and continued to be that support for the next generation of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen, San Antonio, Texas 78228 on Thursday December 14, 2023. The visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with the rosary beginning at 6:00pm. On December 15, 2023, the funeral home departure will be at 9:30am, followed by the funeral mass at San Juan de los Lagos Catholic Church at 10:00am. The interment will be at San Jose Burial Park.
