Raul Ricardo "Chivo" Monreal was called home by the Lord on December 3, 2020, at the age of 83. He was born in San Anyonio, Texas, on December 24, 1936. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Monreal; his daughter, Cindy Monreal; step-children, Martin Contreras (wife Betty), Alfredo Contreras, Ruben Contreras (wife Billy) and Yvonne Contreras. He is also survived by sisters and brothers, grandchildren and numerous of great-grand children. Raul was a retired the United States Postal Office. He loved to dance with his beautiful wife. He served in the United States Air Force, 1963-1966, during the Vietnam War. A Private Graveside Service will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter 5) at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020, where he will be rendered military honors by the United States Army, as he retired from the Army National Guard, having served 9 years, 3 months and 24 days. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
