Raul G.
Prado
December 12, 1945 – January 25, 2025
It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce Raul G Prado, born December 12, 1945, at the age of 79, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
Raul was a kind soul, humble in all things and with a heart that touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A simple person at heart, Raul never sought attention or praise, yet his generosity and warmth left an everlasting impression. He found joy in the small things – time spent with loved ones, or lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. Though quiet in nature, Raul had a way of making everyone around him feel special and valued.
He was a Veteran of the Air Force from 1967-1971, on December 12.12.1980 he married our mother and together they raised a family; he was a very hardworking man. He retired in 2012 and returned to part time work because he could not sit and just do nothing. He was a very active individual that was always working on the yard when he had nothing else to do playing his conjunto music. We will miss his silliness and that smile.
He is loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Laura Prado, children: Joe Jr. Alcaraz, Lisa A Converse (Tom), Cindy Alcaraz, Robert Alcaraz and Patricia Ann Thymes (Derick), 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, Siblings Rosie Morin, Beatrice Casillas, Grace Padilla, Janie, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
He is reunited in Heaven with his parents Jacinto Prado and Juanita Garcia Prado.
He was always putting others before himself and doing so with a quiet strength. His love was unconditional, it's said that the best people are those who leave the world better for having been in it, and that is precisely the legacy Raul leaves behind.
