It is with great regret that we announce the passing of our dad at a stubborn age
of 91 years. His son Edward was by his side. Dad is preceded in death by his
parents Benito and Susie B. Trevino. He has now also been reunited with his wife
Lupe and his beloved son Daniel. Raul came from a big family that passed before
him as well : brothers - Benito, Fernando Trevino & sisters Dora Casares, Rosa
Garza, Janie Avila, Lola Almeida & Susie Aguilar. Additionally preceded by his
granddaughters - Michelle Trevino and Rebecca Trevino-Lee.
Raul served his country in the U.S. Air Force for twenty (20)years. His military
career took him to Texas, South Carolina, Japan, Korea, Okinawa, Illinois, Vietnam,
New Mexico, California, and back to Texas. He relocated his family to San Antonio
in 1969 and he retired in 1972. He then began his Civil Service career and retired
from that fifteen years later.
Left to mourn him is his sister Gloria(Mike)Luna. Also his sons: Raul
M.(Norma), Edward(Edna), Armando(Linda) and daughter Deborah Lopez. He had
9 (nine) grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren as well as great-great
grandchildren.
Raul lived his life on his terms and his way. In his day he was a "Bear" of a man.
He was married to the love of his life Lupe for 69(sixty-nine) years until her
passing in October of 2022. He took great pride in teaching his sons how to fish
and hunt, as that was his passion.

Wednesday, Aug. 13th : Mass - St. Jude Catholic Church

followed by procession to Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
