Obituary

Raymond Alexander Ancira Jr., 15, went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on May 8, 2008, in San Antonio, Texas, a son of Valorie Alvarado and the late Raymond Ancira Sr.

Raymond was a sophomore at Stevens High School who had aspirations to achieve anything he set his mind to. His was laugh was contagious and he genuinely loved to make those around him smile with his pranks. In his free time, he would watch football, spend time in the water swimming, and listen to music. He understood at his young age that living in the moment was important and he truly enjoyed time together with his friends and family. His unexpected passing at such a young age is truly incomprehensible but his mark left in the world is even bigger and at such a young age he was able to make impacts that some people never make in a whole lifetime. With that we celebrate who he was and what he did to those who knew him in such a short amount of time. Those who knew him continue on with life in and for his honor, the way he would have wanted and know one day we will all be reunited once again.

Raymond entered unto eternal rest together with his father Raymond Ancira Sr and they are preceded in death by his great grandparents, Antonio and LouAnn Castro.

Family members include his mother, Valorie Alvarado; siblings, Harlow Kataleya Ancira, Leo Reign Ancira and Jamison Bleu Anicra; fur baby, Lola Ancira; grandmother, Grace B. (Victor) Ancira; grandfather, Robert Antony Ancira Sr; aunt, Felicia Yvette (David) Gonzales; uncles, Robert Anthony Ancira Jr (Jenny Ramos), Jacob Anthony Sanchez, Robert Anthony Alvarado and Roy Alvarado; cousins, David Gonzales Jr, Robert Noel Ancira, Ezekiel Robert Ancira, Ayden Anthony Alvarado, Rosalie Yvette Gonzales, Mariah Cassidy Ancira, Valerie Ann Ancira and Jazmine Diamond Ancira; numerous great aunts, great uncles and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a Rosary Service.

A funeral mass will be conducted on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 10:00 am in San Juan de Los Lagos Catholic Church. Burial will follow mass will a graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery III.

Raymond did not have to enter the gates of heaven alone; he had his father by his side from the beginning until the end: www.castillofuneralhome.com/obituary/raymond-ancira-sr
