Raymond S. Gallardo, 81, of San Antonio, Texas, went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
Raymond was born on July 5, 1945, on the West Side of San Antonio, Texas, to Mateo and Trinidad Gallardo. He was the firstborn of twelve siblings and a proud graduate of Lanier High School.
Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He also worked for many years at Kelly Air Force Base before retiring as a civil servant.
He was also a longtime Realtor in the San Antonio area. Well educated, Raymond was most recently a student at UTSA. Ray was a passionate hot rod enthusiast, a history buff. He was a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, trusted leader of the family, and a loyal friend to all who knew him.
Raymond is reunited in heaven with his parents Mateo and Trinidad Gallardo, son, Mark; his daughter, Melissa; and his beloved granddaughter, Madeline Nicole, his sister Irma Gallardo , and brother Johnny Gallardo .
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Jimenez Gallardo, of San Antonio, Texas; his grandson, Mark Anthony Hernandez; his brothers and sisters, Rosemary Gallardo, Pastor Mario Gallardo, Yolanda Salinas, Mateo Gallardo Jr., Gloria Morales, Beatrice Mendoza, Oralia Sanchez, Anita Santos, and Alice Gallardo; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
