Raymond Anthony Johnson
October 13,1948 – April 5,2023

Raymond Anthony Johnson was born on October 13,1948 to Ellison Johnson and Gertrude Allen Johnson in Atlanta, Ga. He was the third child of four. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1966 and quickly joined the United States Navy. After serving two years he joined the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the Marines, he then joined The Texas Air National Guard. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved being a Veteran and serving others. In 1979 he married his best friend Petra Trevino Gutierrez. They had seven children between the two of them. The last ten to fifteen years he spent his time volunteering at the Audie L. Murphy VA hospital. During his free time, he enjoyed driving to various small towns, visiting antiques shops as well as chatting with the locals.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents Ellison Johnson and Gertrude Allen Johnson. His brothers Martin Johnson and Joseph Johnson. And lastly his best friend and wife Petra Johnson. Raymond was loved and will be missed by all he leaves behind including his children: Christopher A. Johnson (Stacy), Jaime R. Trevino (Ana), Michael A. Johnson (Karla), Ellison A. Johnson (Nia), Amanda A. Hankieson (Sean), Jason A. Johnson,
Marie A. Watts (Maurice), as well as sixteen grandchildren, one sister Claudine Bland, as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, and friends.
