On Tuesday May 21, 2024, Rebecca Roque Colunga was called home to be with our Lord, at the age of 84. She is reunited in Heaven with her daughter, Sylvia Olvera; grandchildren, Anthony and Frankie Camacho.

She was born on September 21, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas, to parents Maria Pena and Francisco Roque.

Rebecca loved the Lord and instilled in her family the importance of God, Church, and family values. She was full of life and love. She was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for her family. She accomplished much in life and will be remembered for the way she lived her life as a fierce and vibrant woman, never afraid of life's obstacles and celebratory of its successes. Her time with family were moments she treasured most.

Mrs. Colunga is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 60 plus years, Jose Angel Colunga; children, Diane Colunga, Joe A. Colunga Jr., and his wife Pearl, Antonia Maria Bernal and husband Jerry, David R. Colunga and wife Mercy and Robert Colunga; grandchildren, Isabel Longoria, Dorothy A. Almendarez, Michelle Colunga, Elizabeth Colunga, Robert Colunga Jr., Nathaniel Rene Colunga, Ray Alexander Colunga, Roland Ybarra, Andrew Ybarra, Diane Sanchez, Monica Gomez, Raul Rodriguez, JoAnn Cisneros, Priscilla Davila, Yvonne Bernal, Amanda Olvera, Alexander Olvera and Yeshua Olvera as well as numerous great grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
