Refugio R. Renovato Jr., also known as Joe Renovato, Jr., passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, surrounded by family. He was 86 years old. Born on July 27, 1938, in Del Rio Tx, to Refugio Sr. and Manuela Renovato. Joe served in the Armed forces in the United States Army and went on to finish his military career in the Air Force as a Military Police Officer. He married the love of his life on February 2, 1972; and were married for 49 years before her passing. Joe was very active in the Church community, and a member of the men's Knights of Columbus. He was a man of many trades and hobbies. He loved to fish and go camping. He was a die hard fan of The Dallas Cowboys and The San Antonio Spurs. Most of all he loved his plants and tending to his yard.

He is preceded in death by his parents Refugio Sr. and Manuela Renovato, his 4 siblings and his beloved wife Oralia V. Renovato. He is survived by his children Rose Marie Medina, Refugio R. Renovato III (Stacey), Richard Villareal (Rocio), Cindi Renobato, and Gina Marie Renobato Traber; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation to take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will depart in procession at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, for a 9:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, eta 10:45 a.m.
