Rene A. Aguilar Jr., born on July 4, 1987, entered eternal rest on December 12, 2024. Rene was preceded in death by his father, Rene Aguilar; his grandmothers, Ursula Aguilar and Betty Rojas; his grandfather, Dennis Rojas; and his uncle, Robert Starr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rebecca Barrientos; his cherished children, Cali Renae Aguilar, Brandon Rene Aguilar, Jackson Barrientos, and Ethan Aguilar; his mother, Cynthia Aguilar; and his siblings, Joseph, Manuel, and Crystal. Rene's wife and kids were the cornerstone of his life. He took immense pride in being a steadfast provider who ensured their care and happiness. Rene had a remarkable ability to bring people together. He found joy in hosting gatherings at his home, to bbq and cook and share food and laughter with loved ones. Music brought him great delight—he loved singing and dancing to his favorite songs. Rene also found peace along the coast during fishing trips that offered him both relaxation and a deep connection to nature. Services to honor Rene's life will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Castillo Funeral Home, located at 520 N General McMullen Dr., San Antonio, TX 78228. Rene will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved so dearly. May he rest in peace and find eternal comfort in God's embrace.
