Ricardo R. Hernandez

July 2, 1932 - September 5, 2021

Ricardo R. Hernandez, 89, was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 5, 2021, in San Antonio, TX. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Ricardo was born on July 2,1932, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, MX, to Panfilo Hernandez and Petra Rosales.

He is survived by his wife, Aurora Guillen Hernandez; his children, Rosa M Perez, Rogelio Hernandez, Thelma L. and husband Mario A Ramirez, Angelica and  husband Alfredo Gaona, Sandra and husband Roberto Villasana, Sonia and husband Noe De La Cruz, and Ricky and wife Laura Hernandez.

He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Max, Karleth, Irving, Roger, Richard, Michelle, Troy, Jackie, Albert, Odalys, Richard, Alex, Jennifer, David, Jessica, Brenda, Robert, Sandra, Stephanie, Noe, Leonardo, Daisy, Jesus, Wendy, and Angel; as well as his 38 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.

Ricardo had a passion for music and loved dancing.  He enjoyed spending time with family and cherished going out to eat with them.  His face lit up with a beautiful smile when his grandchildren walked in and greeted him with a big hug.  Papa, we will always carry your memory in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, Monday September 20, 2021, from 3:30-8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church on  Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at San Fernando III.
