Richard Alba passed away peacefully on October 27 ^th , 2021, in the comfort of his home while surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was 81 years old. He was born in Fentress, Texas on February 7 ^th , 1940.

Richard graduated from Lanier High School and went on to serve in the United States Army from June 1958 to June 1964. His merit awards included being a Marksman with a Rifle and a Sharpshooter with a Carbine. On September 8 ^th , 1984, Richard married his wife Anita Alba. They enjoyed spending most of their time outdoors, especially at Garner State Park. Richard loved hosting and attending family gatherings. He always found an excuse to barbeque and listen to his favorite music with his family and friends.

Richard is loved and will be remembered through his Wife Anita Alba; Sons, Luis Alba, Richard Alba, and Robert Sandoval; Daughters, Elizabeth Gonzales, Joanna Vega, Kristina Castillon, and Celinda Alba; Brother, Margarito Alba; Sister, Maria Alba; 23 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
