Richard M. Gomez went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose M. Gomez.

He was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 17, 1962, to Joe and Jovita Gomez, the fifth of eight children. He is survived by his mother, Jovita; his brothers, Robert and wife Julie; Raymond and wife Anna; Ralph and Melissa; his sisters, Josie and husband Luis; Rosemary and husband Raymond; Diana and partner Debbie; and Grace and husband Salvador. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and great nephews, as well as extended family and friends.

Richard enjoyed doing handiwork, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 3:30-8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, with visitation starting at 8:00-9:00 a.m. A procession will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Mission Burial Park South at 10:00 a.m.
