It is with deepest sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of Richard (Ricky) Hernandez, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend on March 1, 2021. Richard was a veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Marine corps.In Richard we lost a shining light. He was known for his enormous heart. He would give you the shirt off his back. His sense of humor was bigger than life and always managed to bring laughter into your day. There was never a dull moment with him around. His love for his family and friends will always be remembered. Without a doubt he was the kindest loving son, brother, uncle, and friend anyone could have asked for. His biggest love besides his mother was his grandmother, Catalina G. Muniz. She left him with a valuable lesson of kindness that he carried throughout his life. He is survived by his mother Gloria Hernandez, sisters Jeanette Moreno, Sandra Ruiz, Elizabeth Rosas, his brother Patrick Hernandez and half brother Benny Hernandez, his beloved friend Candace Ann Smith, his 6 nephews, 5 nieces, 7 grandnephews, 6 grandnieces and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
