Richard Rodriguez passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 3, 2025 he was 71 years old. He was born on August 24, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas. Richard proudly served in the United States Army Reserves.

Richard is proceeded in death by his parents, several siblings, in-laws and his special Aunt Patty (sister in-law). He is survived by his loving wife, of more than 40 years, Yolanda. They share three daughters Amanda (Sel), Karla (Ernest) and Karol (Andrew). Seven beautiful grandchildren, whom he loved immensely and gave each of them special nicknames; Alexandria (pumpkin), Zane (Zaner-Man from Houston), Nathaniel (Tata Boy), Addalyn (Boo-Boo), Emma (Chapuush), Andrew (Baby Drew), and our latest Holly Ruth (Güera). Richard was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. We will forever be thankful and treasure all the beautiful memories we had as a family, he will be tremendously missed.

He is also survived by his only brother-in-law Sam (Delia) and sister-in-law Sylvia Sanchez, and numerous nieces and his special nephew Jason Sanchez.

Richard also held close to his heart three of his buddies John Leal, and Vincent & Santos Tristan from high school. We would like to thank the extended Tristan Family for all the laughs and memories. And our special neighbors Jesse & Rose Mireles for the care and help. A special thanks to his girl Jackie Velasco and Tiffany.

The Rodriguez Family would like to extend our appreciation to Dr. Gina Esparza, PA Tijerina, Dr. Aaron Garza and Dr. Carolina Arias for the gentle care they provided over the years.

On February 12, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m

This will conclude services.

Richard's wishes were to be cremated so that he can go back to his house where he can continue to spend each day with his wife, children and grandchildren.
