Obituary

In Loving Memory of Richard E. Villanueva 1962 - 2025

With deep love and sorrow, we remember and celebrate the life of Richard E. Villanueva, a beloved brother, devoted uncle, cherished friend, and a compassionate soul whose creativity and warmth touched everyone he met. Richard passed away peacefully at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in San Antonio, TX, Richard discovered a passion for beauty and cosmetology early in life. That passion became a lifelong career, where he brought confidence, color, and joy to countless clients. His talent was not only in his hands but in his ability to listen and connect-he made everyone who sat in his chair feel seen, heard. and beautiful.

Outside of work Richard was a dedicated brother and uncle, a witty story, or a word of encouragement. His laughter filled every room, and his kindness was a quiet constant in the lives of his family and friends.

Even during cancer Richard showed resilience, grace, and an unshakeable love for those around him. He faced challenges with dignity and maintained his sense of humor and compassion until the very end.

Richard is survived by sister Diana V. Landeros (Albert), Nieces Erica V. Pena, Daniela V. Landeros, and Zoe Villanueva, Nephews Albert V. Landeros, and Frank F. Villanueva III, and 8 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather's Jesus G. Villanueva, and Lorenzo Escobedo, Grandmother's Felise Villanueva, and Maria Escobedo, Father Frank B Villanueva, Mother Maria Alicia Escobedo Villanueva, and Brother Frank E. Villanueva Jr.
