Ricky P. Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas peacefully passed away in his home on the 13th of October of 2020.

He was born in San Antonio to parents Enemencio H. Ortiz and Hermana P. Ortiz on the 2nd of August of 1963.

He retired from the Northside Independent School District in 2005. He fought a 15 year battle with cancer. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather and adored by everyone he met. He enjoyed life, working, spending time with his wife, eating out with loved ones and watching his grandchildren play sports. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all those who knew him.

Ricky P. Ortiz is preceded in death by his father Enemencio H. Ortiz, mother Hermana P. Ortiz and brother Cipriano P. Ortiz.

Ricky P. Ortiz is survived by his wife Guadalupe Ortiz of 27 years. Sons Issac Ortiz, wife Krystal Ortiz, son Ricky Ortiz jr, wife Angie Ortiz, son Angel Ortiz, daughter Sandra Ann Ortiz, husband Richard Jordan. Brothers Frank Ortiz Sr, David Ortiz Sr, Gilbert Ortiz Sr, Roger Ortiz Sr, Paul Ortiz and John Eric Ortiz. Sisters Margarita Valenciana, Mariana Naranjo, MaryJane Ortiz, Domitila Ortiz and Olga Torres. Grandchildren Abygail Ortiz, Galilea Ortiz, Angelica Ortiz, Issac Ortiz jr, Melody Ortiz, Aislyn Ortiz, Joenathan Ortiz, Daven Ortiz, Jordan Ortiz, Mario Ortiz, Nathan Ortiz, William Ortiz, Mason Ortiz, Alissa Ortiz, Alex Hernandez, Joesiah Hernandez, Johnathan Hernandez, Alexsandra Hernandez.

Pallbearers will be David Ortiz, Gilbert Ortiz, Roger Ortiz, Issac Ortiz, Ricky Ortiz jr, Angel Ortiz, Daven Ortiz and Broderick Koolmen.

Visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on October 28, 2020 from 3pm-7:30pm. Funeral services will be held 10/29/2020. Departing Castillo funeral Home at 9:30am to Iglesia Taburnaculo Casa de Dios at 5642 Monterey st, San Antonio Texas, 78237 where a service will be held between the hours of 10am-12pm. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
