Rita N.
Perez
March 27, 1951 – December 29, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Rita N. Perez, who was born on March 27, 1951, and passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Rita leaves behind her greatest treasures—her children: Larry Garcia; Joegilbert and his wife, Ursula Aguirre; and Felicia and her husband, Bennie Blackman. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ian, Ashley, Isabella, Tyler, Jaden, Sophia, and Estevan, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She is now reunited with her parents, Manuel R. Perez Jr. and Otila Navaira Perez, brothers , Gilbert Navaira and John Navaira Perez.
Rita's time on this earth felt far too short, yet the love she gave was immeasurable. Those who were fortunate enough to know her understood that her true legacy is not measured in years, but in the countless lives she touched. She had a beautiful way of making everyone feel seen and loved—often through her handwritten letters, thoughtful words, and small acts of kindness given "just because."
She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose caring heart, contagious laughter, and comforting presence could fill any room. Rita was known for her storytelling, her generous spirit, her honest and heartfelt advice, and her talent for giving everyone a nickname that somehow always fit perfectly. She brought warmth, joy, and love to her family and friends, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
Though we mourn her passing, we are forever grateful for the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the memories she leaves behind. Rita will live on in our hearts always and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
May the Lord welcome Rita into His loving arms and grant her eternal rest. May her soul find peace, and may her love continue to guide and comfort us all until we meet again.
