Loving Husband, Father & Grandpa:

Robert C. Benavides age 82, went to be with our Lord peacefully surrounded by his family on August 17th, 2025 at 5:18 pm. He was born on December 5th, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas. After graduation in 1960, he courageously served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, a chapter of his life that reflected his bravery, love of country, and enduring strength. He worked for the USDA and HEB thereafter.  Robert is preceded in death by his loving Wife: Angie R. Benavides, Parents: Consuelo C. Benavides, Emeterio Benavides Jr., Brothers: Emmett C. Benavides, Raul Benavides, Sister: Marie Christine Thomas. Robert is Survived by his Daughter: Connie Angelene Benavides, Stepdaughters: Deborah Ann Johnson (Johnny) and Melisa Ann Coronado, Grandchildren: Deboree Angelica Torres, Deedrah Michelle Torres, Victoria Ann Menchaca (Brandon), Carlos Andres Arredondo (Katya), Jessica Ann Arredondo, Angelene Janae Bermea, Alana Renae Bermea, Great Grandchildren: Desmeriee Queen Torres-Munoz, Arnaldo "Arnie" Menchaca, Damon Thomas Menchaca, Lydia Sue Menchaca. Also Surived by 3 Brothers: Joe Benavides, David Benavides, and Michael Benavides, Numerous Nieces & Nephews, and other Family members.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Wurzbach Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Concho Hearts Hospice, and Sylvia Gallardo for all your Care and Love.

Visitation to take place on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a prayer service to begin at 9:45 a.m. at Castillo Funeral Home. Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, at 11:30 a.m.
