Obituary

Robert M. Dimas, Jr., born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 16, 1986, went to be with the Lord on September 13, 2020 at the young age of 34. Robert was the light in life for many, would give the clothes off his back to help anyone in need but ultimately his greatest love was for his family. For his family, he would make the impossible possible. Robert met his loving wife of 15 years, Inez Dimas in 2005 and together they raised five children. Robert always put his wife and kids first. As a family they had many spontaneous adventures together, went to concerts and shows; always keeping his kids interests in mind, always wanting to make them happy. All who knew Robert knew he had the biggest heart. Yes, he could be a grumpy, mad grouch at times but his smile and loud voice could radiate joy to those around him. Robert found much happiness being surrounded by all of his family including his many brothers, sisters and friends. He loved them dearly and they shared many good times together while barbecuing, Robert talking about food and watching "the" game. From Texas A&M to the Cowboys and the Saints he loved football, boxing fights of his favorite fighters and of course his Spurs. Robert also enjoyed joking around and playing games like Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Super Smash Bros. with his kids. His competitive spirit always lead him to a rematch as he always wanted to win. In his downtime you could find Robert watching Joe Rogan and Mike Tyson podcasts as well as his favorite YouTube Bloggers. Robert took pride in his work and his tools. He was a tradesman, concrete finisher and would make the time to wipe down all his Milwaukee tools.
Robert will always be remembered and remain in our hearts forever. He will now watch over his kids as their guardian angel and his spirit will remain with all those who were blessed to know his wonderful soul in this life.
The entire family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who have given their support, showed compassion and love throughout this very difficult time.
Robert was preceded in death by his fathers, Robert Dimas and Jesus Colunga. He is survived by his wife, Inez Dimas and loving mother, Emma Colunga; children, Crystal and Juan Gonzalez, Chasity, Ashley and Christian Dimas; siblings, Toribio, Tanya, Victor, Elias, George, Ronnie, Juan, Starr, Mary Ann, Jesse, Alex, Angel, Aaron, Samuel, Joseph and many other relatives and friends.
