Obituary

Robert J. Hogan passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age 81.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 11, 1942.
Robert served proudly in the U.S Army in the United States and Europe, mainly in France. After returning to San Antonio, he served in the Texas Army National Guard. His love of reading and helping people led him to a career with the City of San Antonio Public Library. He was an Assistant Librarian and retired after 32 years.
Robert's constant companion of 16 years was his little doggie, Sasha, who he loved and cared for and who gave him much comfort and happiness.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Aurora J. Hogan, and his beloved grandmother, Elvira Nino Ramirez.
Robert was loved by and will be missed by his sister, Norma Canedo, his brother, David Hogan, and their spouses, Phillip Canedo and Marie Yolanda Hogan, his niece Christine Canedo-Pullan (Brice), nephew Nicholas Canedo ( Heather), and nephews Michael Hogan and Eric Hogan, grandnieces and grand nephews, and other family members. Family and friends will meet at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery for a graveside service at Shelter #2 on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 10:15am.
