Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one, Robert Carreño Jr. He was taken home to be with our Lord on January 24, 2025, at the age of fifty-eight. Robert was born on August 17, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas.

Robert is preceded by his father, Robert Carreño Sr., and grandmothers, Anita Carreno and Juanita Anguiano.

Robert is loved and will be greatly missed by his mother, Sylvia Aleman; sisters, Rebecca Herrera, and Andrea Ramos; brother-in-law, William Herrera; children, Robert Carreño III, Valerie Serna, Crystal Silva, Valerie Mireles, Adrian Perez, Sylvia Carreño, and Desiree Carreño, as well as grandchildren, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.


Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dancing, and loved fishing. We are shattered by his departure, but we find solace in knowing that he is in a better place. The family would find immense comfort in your attendance in celebrating Robert's life.


A Rosary will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Castillo Funeral Home (520 N. General McMullen, San Antonio, Texas, 78228), with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.


Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Family and friends will depart from Castillo Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (617 S. Santa Rosa Ave., San Antonio, Texas, 78204).


Interment will be at San Fernando Cemetery III.
