Obituary

On Saturday, February 22, 2025, Robert Lee Trevino, a loving partner, brother, uncle, and friend died at the age of 62 in San Antonio, Texas after a courageous battle with diabetes.

Robert was born on July 1, 1962 in Seminole, Texas to Jesus and Tomasita Trevino.  Robert attended school in Seminole and graduated in 1981.  After graduation, Robert worked in retail, hospital administration, and insurance.  While working in hospital administration, Robert worked in a special role of counseling and assisting patients suffering from diabetes.  Robert assisted these patients with their diet, life choices, medical treatment, and obtaining benefits to help the patients deal with their conditions.  When not working, Robert also loved to travel and spend time with his family and friends.

Robert will be missed by his loving family, friends, and coworkers.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Tomasita Trevino, and his brother, Jesus, Jr.  He is survived by his partner, Richard Compean, his sister Veronica Lopez, and brother-in-law, Charlie Lopez, brother, Richard Trevino, and sister-in-law, Virginia Trevino, Richard's sister, Sylvia Compean Rodriguez, Richard's parents, Margarito and Alice Compean, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Castillo Funeral Home, Chapel C, 520 N. General McMullen Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78228.  Special thanks is given to Robert's partner, Richard, and Richard's parents, Margarito and Alice, who provided loving care for Robert during his final illness, and his work sisters, Britt Melendez, Brooke Melendez Krug, and Angela Luna Smith, at Farmers Insurance, that provided Robert love and support during this time.
