Roberto Gonzales went to be with our Lord on June 5, 2022, at the age of 67.

Roberto was born on April 16, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas to Fernando and Juanita Gonzales. Together Roberto and Flora shared a fifty-year adventure and marriage together. He played an enormous role in the lives of his two children and grandchildren who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a hard worker who was a welder of 40 years. He enjoyed being outdoors camping, fishing, hunting, swimming and the beach. He had incredible talent seen in his drawings and paintings. Working on cars, building, and welding were all skills that he happily and generously gave back with. Roberto enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; great conversations, making someone smile, feeling hopeful for the future of those he knew. As the best role model we knew, he will be immensely missed.

He inspired those around him to be better individuals. His capacity for generosity knew no bounds. He was someone who would help anyone in need with support, encouragement, and guidance. Roberto loved when family and friends got together. Those times exist in our memories and will be cherished forever. We loved his caring ways, he will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fernando Gonzales.

He is survived by his wife, Flora C. Gonzales; Children, Roberto Gonzales Jr. and Jacqueline C. Gonzales; his grandchildren, Giovani Soto and Nicholas Soto; mother, Juanita Gonzales; and siblings, Lydia Galvan, Fernando Gonzales Jr., and Ernesto Gonzales.
