Obituary

SFC (ret) Roberto V. Hernandez fought his last battle and found his eternal peace on Monday, February 10. He was surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was 69 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 2, 1950 to Ismael A. Hernandez and Maria Villarreal Hernandez, who have preceded him in death.

Roberto served 24 years in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School in 1968 and attended 1 semester of college at Eastfield College in Dallas, Texas. He married his wife, Esther Garcia Hernandez of almost 50 years on August 1, 1970. He has two children, Andrea H DeHate of Dallas ,TX and Roberto V. Hernandez Jr. of Pleasanton, Tx who will miss him very much.
He was a loyal soldier most of his life, and later after he retired, he made Pleasanton Texas his home. He shared his ranch with his friends and family, where many pleasant memories were made.

Roberto will be missed dearly by his three grandchildren, Caleb Ashton Dehate , Ashlyn Alexandra Dehate, and Seth Andrew Dehate, as well as his two brothers SFC (ret) Tomas V. Hernandez of Lancaster, Tx, and Ismael V. Hernandez (Annette Perez) of San Antonio, TX and his sister, Cynthia Herrera (Cruz Herrera) of Waxahachie, Tx. He has numerous nephews and nieces who will also miss their Uncle Bob. He will be missed tremendously but he is finally at peace and will forever be remembered in our hearts.

His pallbearers will be Caleb Dehate, Seth Dehate, Aaron Herrera, Cruz Herrera Jr., Raul Gonzales III, and Fabian Paz. Stand ins are Tomas Hernandez Jr., Sebastian Paz, and Julio Mendoza.
