Rodolfo H. Rodriguez Sr.

It is with great sadness that we announce, Rodolfo H. Rodriguez, Sr. passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023 surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was 80 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on February 28, 1943.

Rodolfo attended Lanier High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Anastacia Benavides Rodriguez, who preceded him in death in 2008. He worked for S.A.I.S.D and JCPenney for many years and later retired to enjoy time with his grandchildren. He treasured the beautiful memories that he made with his family throughout his 80 years of life. He loved and adored his children and grandchildren. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Astros. He will be missed immensely.

Rodolfo is loved and will be missed by his son Rodolfo Rodriguez Jr; daughters, Sandra Jean Reyes (George), Ruby Ann Antu (Daniel), Jeanette Cordoway (Mark) and Rachel Marie Rangel (Oscar). 8 grandchildren, Mercedes Wheeler (Trevor), Brianna Marie Cordoway, Mark Anthony Cordoway Jr., Desiree Alexis Antu, Daniel Antu III, George Reyes Jr., Jacob Reyes and Oscar Jordan Rangel Jr Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A rosary service will be held on May 19, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen, San Antonio, Tx 78228. A mass will be held at 9:00 am St. Jude Catholic Church at 130 S. San Augustine Ave., San Antonio, TX 78237. Following mass service, we will say his last goodbye at his residence with graveside service at San Fernando III.
