Rogelio "Roy" Rodriguez Flores was called to Heaven on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the blessed age of 69. Rogelio was born on August 29, 1954, to the late Raul and Maria Flores in San Antonio, Texas. Roy loved his family dearly, enjoying visits with them and talking to them on the phone all the time. No matter how far they were he always felt you were right there. He lived in San Antonio most of his life, a Mason by trade, he shared many adventures working abroad with his brothers, brother-in-law, neighbors, family, and friends. He also enjoyed the Montgomery Road Nursery plant business with Ama and just like her, always wanted to have beautiful plants and flowers blooming everywhere. He lived with and helped care for her until she passed in 2016. He then moved to be near his children and grandchildren just outside of Austin (Buda and Cedar Creek). Roy loved listening to the oldies but goodies and classic cars, namely his first '57 Chevy. He enjoyed watching old western movies and Cowboy shows- even though he probably already saw it 4 or 5 times.

Roy is reunited in Heaven with his parents Raul and Maria and his sister Esperanza DeLeon. Roy will be dearly missed by his family and is survived by his son Roy Flores, Jr. (Melissa), daughters Esther F. Montoya and Elisa Puentes; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother Raul Flores, Sisters Lupe Casarez, Yolanda Perez, Maria "Lucy" Jurado, and Gloria Gonzalez; brothers Armando Flores, Roland Flores, and Ernest Flores; brother- in-law Juan DeLeon; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a Celebration of Life at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart from Castillo Funeral Home at 9:30am on Friday, October 27, 2023, for a 10:00am graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery II.
