We are broken-hearted to announce our father, Roger Cano, unexpectedly passed and went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2022, surrounded by the warmth and love of family. Roger was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 10, 1960. He is reunited in heaven with his father Juan Cano; mothers Catarina Cano, Guadalupe Sanchez; brothers Frank Cano, Juan Cano, Jesus Cano, Jose Cano, Alberto Cano, Gilbert Sanchez; sister Antonia Cano Estrada.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Maryann Cano; children, Roger Cano, Jr. (Debra), John Paul Cano (Stephanie), Leticia Cano (Edward), Diana Cano, Denise Cano, Richie Nichols; 16 grandchildren; siblings, Manuel Cano, Lydia Villarreal, Rosa Cano, Maria Medina, Margarita Cano, Alicia Saenz, Louisa Sanchez, Joyce Sanchez, Pearl Sanchez and Linda Perez; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by numerous fur babies, Charlie, Rex, Princess, Penny, Blue, Tiger, Bear, Jenny and Max.

He was a mechanic and loved working on cars. He unselfishly helped strangers, friends and the people he loved. If anyone was in need of help, he would drop everything to come to their aid.

He battled a health issue with hope, a positive attitude and incredible strength, always willing to experience each day to the fullest, firmly believing that the length of his life in this world would be according to God's will.

He will be remembered by his outgoing personality, his great sense of humor, loud voice and his love for family and animals. He was one who spread laughter wherever he went.

He will be greatly missed by many family and friends. Dad, we will hold you close to our hearts and there you shall remain.
