Roger S. Gonzales went to be with our lord on February 16, 2022, at the age of 73.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eliseo and Josephine Gonzales, brother, Eliseo Gonzales Jr and sister, Adelia Reyes.

He is survived by his wife Isabel Gonzales; children, Joann C. Martinez (Eliseo), Jose Angel Caballero (Donna), Roger Gonzales Jr., Lionel O. Gonzales; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Amelia Gonzales, Rosalinda Flores (Jose), and Lillie Gonzales in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Roger was born on January 29, 1949, in San Antonio Texas to the late Eliseo and Josephine Gonzales. He accomplished so many incredible things in life, but he especially loved his family and the memories made together with them. Roger and his wife Isabel shared 48 wonderful years together. Roger was really the ultimate husband and father full of love, support, encouragement, and guidance. His capacity for generosity knew no bounds as he was someone who would help anyone in need. He inspired those around him to be a better person. He was devoted to his faith and family and brought immense joy to those around him. We loved his caring ways, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Words cannot express the feeling in our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences and gestures of love are truly appreciated.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Castillo funeral home from 3:30 to 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at St. Jude Catholic Church at 10:00 am with interment to follow at San Fernando III Catholic Cemetery.
